Who I Am

Sarah, a beautiful bundle of joy brought into this world, she grew up to become her own unique being. As a toddler, she was a mischievous child who took curiosity in everything.

Growing up her life was far different than the average American child. Sarah’s father was in the military and, they moved around often. By being a military brat Sarah learned the true meaning of family and friendship; never taking for granted those moments she had to spend with her family.

Being the oldest child she learned responsibility and leadership at a very tender age. As Sarah continued to grow and learn, she developed a very friendly and open personality: constantly speaking to strangers and never shutting up when talking with friends. Sarah lived up to the meaning of name: “princess”, she lived her life like royalty. She never allowed her blessed lifestyle to interfere with her opinion of others. Sarah kept it “real” at all times. Her words were sometimes hurtful, but she only spoke the truth of her opinion and was always “frank”. However, her frankness often got her into trouble.

Today Sarah is still living her dreams and enjoying life. She has set goals for herself and achieved them at all costs. Sarah never allowed anyone to tell her she couldn’t do something. She is a strong-willed, smart, determined, and loving young lady, who has opened many doors for herself by becoming a high graduate in just three years. She will continue to open many more.

These essays that are in third-person are very striking to me. That kind of objectivity can be interesting, because it can reveal unexpected details that we sometimes take for granted. Nice work.
