About Myself - Jared Sims
It wasn’t hard to find me while I was growing up. A majority of the time you could go ahead and assume that I was outside. There wasn’t much that kept me inside growing up aside from school and church. Church was a big part of my life growing up until my teen years where I seemed to always find a way to get out of going. Hunting and Fishing are priorities that occupy a good portion of my time. I owe everything I know about the aforementioned activities to my grandfather that passed away, which in my eyes is still a better fisherman than Bill Dance. My family owns three lake houses in Florida where you can find me most of the summer. Growing up it seemed like I always managed to find a way to stay in trouble. I was the kind of person that never liked being told what to do and could reason my way out of anything. If you ever have seen Dennis the Menace, you could compare my childhood years with his. I played baseball and football all throughout school which ended up leaving me with memories I will never forget. My role model growing up was my middle school football coach who taught me more about life than a lot of people knew. Typically, I was the guy in the group that was always open minded and ready to try something new. Trying something new wasn’t always the best idea because generally it leaded to me getting in trouble.

What kind of fishing do you do? Living in Colorado, I'm absolutely all about trout and flies. I never learned to tie my own, but hope to some day. I recently went Bass fishing here with a Carolina rig--and felt like a traitor. But it was fun.
