Hi! On April tenth, eighteen years ago, I was brought into this world and given the wonderful name Maria Leigh Gagliano. Cheesy, right? I was born in Hunstville, Alabama, where my family and I lived for about five more months after I was born. I have brown, naturally curly hair thanks to my dad, and I am 4’11 and ¾ thanks to my lovely short mother. I have hazel eyes that like to change from brown to green on occasion.
I started taking dance when I was seven years old at Dale Serrano Dance Studio. I continued to dance until I received my “ten year award” at my last recital; dancing was a passion of mine, somewhere I could go and leave everything out on the dance floor. At my studio, I made it to the highest dance team level a girl could go, we were called the Professionalettes. The recitals were the greatest shows in town, and I loved being on stage under those lights only being able to see the first two rows of people. I am truely going to miss it very much.
I have also been a cheerleader for so long that I cannot even remember the exact year I started. I cheered all the way through highschool at Hoover High, where I was the captain all four years. I already miss my amazing coach and all my girls. I also cheered at Cowboy Cheerleading Center, where I was on a competition team and won four co-ed national champion competitions with my stunt partner. For all of you who do not understand what that means, me and only one other person were performing all by ourselves and I was getting tossed all around in the air. I am now a coach at my gym. I also work for Universal Cheerleading Association, better known as UCA, where I teach cheerleading camps all summer long all over the state of Alabama. I have the greatest co-workers and I actually enjoy my job!
My favorite color is green, and I am a really relaxed person. I love the beach! I would live ther if I had the choice. I hate dressing up and putting make-up on, but I do it when I have to. I enjoy any kind of music, but I mainly listen to anything relaxing. Yes, I’m a Jack Johnson and Dave Matthews fan, and for those of you who do not know who they are, look them up! I am currently a pledge for Zeta Tau Alpha, and, oh yea, Roll Tide!!

Im pretty sure i learned more about you in those 2 minutes it took me to read that then i have even known about you since i met you four years ago. Maybe you should try ROLL TIDE rather than GO BUCS! :)
I wish i would have stuck with dance. You sound very talented!
What are you studying here at UA? It sounds like it must have something to do with dance or cheerleading since you already work in that field, but maybe not? Nice intro...I agree with Kendall--that two minutes was jam-packed with info.
